instead of edging properly and taking my time I used this on bathroom baseboards and around shower stalls with terrible results. I used to paint apartments and condos so I should know better. I'll spend way more time cleaning up leak throughs.Tape peels slowly. what a waste of time and money. Take your time, get a good brush and edge it by hand.

Pull paint off of trim and shower surround

I bought this tape to paint a bathroom. It was so sticky that it removed paint from the trim and paint from the metal tile trim in my brand new shower. I couldn't be more upset about painters tape.

Very disappointed

I thought this would give me nice clean lines down my feature wall. Very disappointed when I removed it and it took all my paint as well.

Worst tape I've used

Spraying a ceiling after walls were painted, taped plastic to the painted walls, actually to go back and staple the plastic/ tape to the walls because it wasn't sticking. Walls were painted just over a month ago. Now, trying to spray the ceiling and at almost every place the I spray were the ceiling and wall meet, the tape curls up. I took sever pictures with my phone, but could only load 1. Room temperature is 65 degrees.
Never again will I use this worthless tape. Costing me more time to use than its worth!!!

Do not use - paint & veneer comes off with tape

I used this to identify boxes and furniture for movers. I thought is would be noticeable and not leave any residue. It worked as intended and peeled off the cardboard boxes and plastic tubs perfectly. However, it took the veneer off a nightstand and the paper off an old tray. Since it was still sticky I saved a lot of it for reuse. I used a piece of this to hang an antenna on the wall. When I moved the antenna and peeled the tape off, it took the paint off with it. I do not recommend this product.

Will not stick

I have been using 3M painter's tape for decades and have never had much of an issue. I have a roll now that refuses to stick to anything. I spend an hour taping a room and come back 30 minutes to pain and half the tape is hanging loose. Did they change the manufacturing process or glue? I have used this roll in different locations with different types of paint and it sucks. It just won't stay where I put it.

Upsetting results

I tried this product for the first time and I’m very disappointed with the results. The adhesive was too strong, it peeled off the ceiling paint it was meant to protect. I had used the green tape on the same ceiling to use up what I had and had no issues. Every spot I continued on with the scotch blue ended up with damaged ceiling paint. Not only that it was difficult to remove as it kept ripping.

Utter failure.

I think a lot. I usually use a more expensive brand (there’s only one - you could probably figure it out), but since I was doing such a huge area I thought I would try Scotch Blue. Not a great decision given I was painting baseboards on my newly refinished hardwood floors - paint seat under the edge of the tape despite the fact that I applied it appropriately. Should have spent the money for the green tape.
