These index cards are perfect for tracking attendance in a busy classroom or a short homeroom time. Students enter the classroom and flip their card it is easy to spot when a different color card is visible. I have used these for 4 years now in my classroom and the kids like them too. Other teachers in the building like them as well.

When did a normal index card become "heavyweight"?

These heavier cards last. If you actually use 3x5 cards handle them multiple times and so on then these are for you. They feel great in the hand and don't fall apart under serious use like in the kitchen.
