Good once you figure it out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybe I'm dense but I have a hard time getting the tape set up on the dispenser/tape breaker. I don't use packing tape frequently enough to remember how to start a new roll. Once I finally manage though, it works just fine. Used it to repair dried up tape on some old cardboard boxes used for storage and it worked well. The tape is sticky and of the good quality I'm used to from 3M tapes. The dispenser/tape breaker part seems well made and does what it needs to. Says it's heavy duty, I think it will hold up just fine for packages or items that might get a bit of a rougher treatment. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.

Strong, Durable, and easy To Apply

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this tape for shipping packages. I like that it is easy to apply, strong, and stays stuck. The applicator makes it easy to apply it exactly where I want It and then easily cut it at the end. I found that the tape is extremely strong, and I like that once I put in place, it stays stuck.

Did not disappoint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product that was sent to me by 3m, and while I did not use if for packing.. i used it on mother's day for my balloon garland * i normally use crazy glue to add smaller balloons* . I just folded the slice of tape in half and it worked! My balloons remained attached to the other balloons... then I used it to actually hang the balloon garland * i use fishing line* and again they stayed up! AMAZING!!! Note I live in Miami and it was humid. This tape is clear, stays on and works! I can only imaging how good it will do with an actual box!!!

Very strong tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am actually sending out packages to out of state family and this came at the best time. I used this to v cx Lise the packages and I didn’t need to double tape like I have had to do with other brands.

Great tape for any need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from 3M to evaluate and want to thank them for the tape. I have used other 3M packing tapes and this is of the same quality as those. It is easy to use and strong enough to hold virtually any packing. I sealed boxes containing over 100 vinyl albums and this tape holds extremely well. Would recommend it for any packing requirements you may have. The dispenser makes the tape simple to use as it has a built-in cutter.

The dispenser works but could be designed better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product to evaluate for free from 3M. I actually have an older model that I use all the time and both models seem to be the same style so I can attest to its durability but there are things that can make it better. The cardboard piece that covers the blade can not easily be removed (see picture), sure the flap piece comes off but the part behind the blade does not slide out once the flap is off. This can interfere with getting a clean cut of the tape, I'll probably have to use scissors to carefully cut it out but it could be easily fixed by having the holes align with the part that is ripped off so that it slides out on its own without risk of injury. Additionally when the roll was still full, it would sometimes get stuck and not rotate easily, I couldn't actually find the sticking point and it doesn't happen on my older one when I put in a new roll or now that I have used several layers on the new one. The tape itself also doesn't unroll smoothly but instead sort of jerks out in segments. Finally the inner latch that you use to replace rolls could be designed better, it doesn't always stay closed. In fact on the older model, I just use a piece of tape to keep it closed but again the design could be improved to keep them shut. As to where I use this product, I send baked goods to deployed soldiers every week so use these packaging dispensers to seal the boxes and apply the mailing labels to the box. These boxes are tossed around a lot during their journey overseas so need to be taped securely. I have been sending these boxes for almost 5 years and have sent almost 350 boxes so the dispensers and tape do work but could be improved with my suggestions.
