good tape ... wrong dispenser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the tape itself. It is strong and is easy to place and seal on any package. It took several minutes and a good pair of readers to get the tape started off the roll. I soon realized when trying to stretch the tape out, that the grippers on the tape dispenser are located too close to the tape roll. Pinching and gripping in the designated spots seem to inhibit the roll of tape to spin. Just a design flaw.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Highly recommend for multiple uses

Great for shipping boxes, covering paper like a lamination, arts & crafts and a tons of other uses (like taping cords to the wall, if your cat is a cord chewer; or covering up ripped up carpet [thanks, cat!] so you can go over the area with a vacuum without snagging carpet). I'm not sure what I would do without the value, reliability and effectiveness of Scotch® Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This packing tape was right on time...I used it to assist me in taping up some boxes for storage, it is heavy duty for boxes to hold some weigh. The tape holder was very easy to dispense tape for usage.

Good multipurpose tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this Heavy Duty tape to tape up some boxes while helping someone move. It feels like good quality tape, so I felt confident that I wouldn't need to use a lot of it to make a good seal. It's nice, thick tape and it doesn't fold in on itself, so I like that. The dispenser rattles around a lot (not sure if that's normal), but the roll hasn't come out of it, even when it's been tossed around. Even though the sides of the roll don't feel sticky now, they attracted dust and debris, so that's not something I like to see, but I'm guessing it's unavoidable.

Perfection in a sticky tape

Reliable Packaging Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed tape to close the package and to attach the shipping label. This heavy duty packaging tape works really well. It is easy to use and very strong. The dispenser is good for preventing the tape from falling back on itself. I also like the dispenser because I find it simple to use than cutting the tape with a pair of scissors. This is a great product. I strongly recommend having this tape at home and in the office.

Great hold, not so great dispensing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heavy duty shipping tape is indeed heavy duty and stays put well on packages. It wasn’t the easiest roll to get started, not was it easy to dispense once set up, though. While trying to start the roll, the tape tore and split several inches, wasting some product. I tried holding it just as directed, but it didn’t make dispensing any easier. It was a bit frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GOOD, STRONG, AND STAYS “STUCK”
