I was not expecting a heavy duty file and that is fine but one handle could not be attached securely because the thread was not drilled into the handle ends completely. I had to add a shim to the inside so t would not wobble and eventually fall off. Products are no longer made to strict specifications anymore and that makes things seem very very cheap when a piece of cardboard is what holds things steady.

Good design with a shallow top drawer and a lock perfect for my home office. I put my laser printer on the top and put the file cabinet next to computer desk. The assembly was really nothing--just tight up the 6 screws into the 3 drawer handles. The only problem I had was that the screws would not go fully into the holes in the handles. I had to buy 6 washers to fix the problem.

Nice file cabinet for the price even better when on sale. It comes completely "assembled" except for attaching the drawer handles. "Don't understand why there's a listed $85.00 charge to "assemble" the cabinet. Come on now installing two screws in two drawer handles is $85.00? I picked mine up directly from the local Staples store unpacked it attached both drawer handles in 10 minutes and filled it with hanging files. The cabinet was well packed no damage drawer handles fit perfectly drawers open close and lock with no problems. Only concern is completely opening only the top drawer when it's fully loaded because it may fall over.
