The file cabinet has worked fine. It was advertised as a “3 drawer" file cabinet. The top drawer is only an inch or two high or tall hardly a file draw. Also I asked the employee that helped us if the cabinet was black since I saw a sample that was grey. He said ours was black. When we unpacked ours it was in fact grey not black!

Over priced low quality

The metal is really thin and while it is steel this is low quality at best. Flimsy lock is easily pulled right through. I ordered the base with wheels and the cabinet rocks on the screw heads and wobbles. Too much money for this low quality. Sure it will work. Too much trouble to return. Last buy from Staples for me. They have decidedly made themselves into an online order house and don't seem to stock anything in the store where you can actually try it out before wasting time and money.

Not built for heavy duty use

This is not a steel reinforced heavy duty constructed cabinet but for my use perfect. Only assembly was installing door handles. I love having the small drawer on top. To make it more useful I did find the need to line the bottom with a nice clean corrugated cardboard. It is new so I am hoping it will hold up. The price was right.

The file cabinet will serve its purpose but the metal is very thin. I know the price reflects it but for the use it may get it may not last long. I was told at the stores that thicker cabinets weren't available anymore.

Nice file cabinet. Draws are on rollers so it is easy pulling them out. It has a large depth so it fits more folders.Would recommend it.
