Reliable UPS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall incredibly happy with the surge protector power strip. While some of the reviews I read said that it was like a large brick for what you’re getting including multiple outlets and two USB ports along with battery back up I find this to smaller than expected when it arrived. It’s also pretty incognito and doesn’t necessarily stand out when placed inconspicuously in the right place. Primarily we use this for security system and Internet which can be quite nice in the summer where we live where thunderstorms and light storms can knock out power for a bit. I also love the number of outlets available – giving me eight is more than enough. The USB option is fantastic although we haven’t really had a need to use it but good to know it’s there. I don’t really have any cons to this since it’s done its job since we received it. It’s really nice that after an initial eight hour charge the battery continues to auto charge as needed so we always have a full battery back up. This is incredibly helpful when we’re relying on our computers to work. I think having this in your arsenal of any emergency is ideal especially in this very connected day and age.

Amazing surge protector

First off I wanted to say this thing is absolutely amazing. It’s not super bulky. It’s very easy to plug in and get to working. The directions are clear and simple. It’s a sleek design and all of the plugs and USB ports are easy to use. The battery life of this if you lost power is stellar. So if you live somewhere where you loose power during a storm a lot ( which we do) this would be a perfect investment due to the battery power option to keep certain things running or even just enough power to charge your phones if needed. It can hold quite a bit of electronics. We use this for our wifi modem chargers and a PC. I love the amount of plugs this has! I think my favorite option about this surge protector was the USB options since we can never find boxes in our house to charge our phones and also the green light indicting it’s on! This is 100% worth the bang for your buck. I’d have one of these in every room if I could! I would purchase this again and 100% recommend. Thank you Stellar!

Good for a small office with room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with my small home office setup—consisting of a MacBook Pro a secondary monitor and an external hard drive—and it’s proven to be a solid solution for basic backup and surge protection. The 360W of power handles short outages well and provides peace of mind during power fluctuations - and believe me we’ve had a lot of those this month! I especially appreciate the audible alerts that let you know when the system switches to battery power or becomes overloaded—very helpful for staying informed without constant monitoring. One standout feature is the inclusion of USB-A ports. I used one to charge my wireless mouse which was super convenient and helped free up desk clutter - it also charged faster than plugging directly into my laptop. It's a small but thoughtful touch that adds real everyday value. However the biggest drawback is the outlet orientation. All the AC outlets face the same direction which can be a serious limitation. If you use a bulkier power brick it’s likely to block adjacent outlets reducing the number of devices you can plug in. The brick from my MacBook takes up two outlets my printer another two and my backup hard drive would be another two if it remained plugged in. A staggered or rotated outlet layout would make this UPS much more practical for real-world setups. In short this UPS delivers steady performance for smaller systems with some nice quality-of-life features like USB charging and status tones. Just be aware of the space constraints with the outlet layout especially if your setup involves larger plugs. Pros: Reliable 360W output for small workstations USB-A ports for charging accessories Audible alerts for power and load status Great for laptops mini-PCs or similar setups Cons: Poor outlet orientation reduces usable ports Not suitable for high-power or bulky device setups

Great protection for power outage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech Surge Protector Standby UPS is a beast! Upon opening the package this is a very solid and well built unit. It has 8 outlets along with 2 USB-A 5ft cord which is ample. Ive been using this device primarily for backup on security system as well as internet. I still have extra outlets at the moment as you can see in my picture but will be adding my computer to this as well today. It's comforting to know that we'll be protected during an outage especially living in rural high desert area in California. Overall it's a great product and I feel it's an essential and reliable item to have in your home for safeguarding your electronics.

Not a power bank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get it and I tested it thoroughly with different appliances. It had a maximum load of the battery is 360w so it can't run high powered appliances like a Fridge or fridge but it's perfect for keeping the router on for ages so I can stay connected. It'll run the TV not for very long. It's extremely handy and versatile. I can connect to a computer and get the status of the UPS which is a nice touch and even if the power stays on I can use it as a superior power strip I love that it has USB ports and the plugs are spaced out ok could be a little better you can't plug in 2 big plugs next to each other. Other than that there really is no down side to having one its useful and the price is extremely reasonable. It's a great middle between no power and a backup generator. If you have important things you need protected against power surges and power outages.

Home Office Power Strip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this power strip in the home office of my older house. It is nice to have the protection against power surges. Living in a more rural area I have power outages during storms and high winds. When I work remotely hosting meetings and webinars I needed something to lessen the disturbance of power outages. My laptop additional monitors speakers cell charger webinar lights webcam and adjustable desk are plugged into the surge protector outlets. The number of outlets is great and I really liked the versatility allowed with the USB outlets. This power strip allowed me to have all things plugged into one place and not have multiple cords stretching in different directions. This surge protector power strip provides peace of mind for power outages and allowed me to get rid of the smaller surge protectors that crowded my office area.

Useful and User Friendly UPS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the last few weeks I have used the Staples Tech 650VA Battery Back-Up & Surge Protector (8 Outlet + 2 USB-A) to support my computer router and home security hub and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Right out of the box it was incredibly user-friendly—installation was quick and simple and everything was up and running in minutes. The 8 outlets provided plenty of room for all my essential devices and the 2 USB-A ports are a convenient bonus for charging smaller electronics without using up the main outlets. One of the biggest advantages is the compact size. Compared to other models with similar capacity this UPS takes up much less space making it easy to tuck away in a home office or living area. It's also impressively quiet—no noticeable humming or fan noise which I really appreciate in a quiet workspace. Overall this UPS offers a great balance of performance convenience and design. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking to protect their tech without dealing with bulky noisy equipment. Highly recommended!

Protect your investments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a business owner I have owned many surge protectors over the years some better than others but never with battery backup capabilities. I decided to put this product to the test and focus on my more important units that need to be powered like my Lorex camera system and the Ring alarm base. I've been using this product for about 2 to 3 weeks so far I have had only one issues with the product itself. First the pros it offers a long cord(5ft) so it gives you plenty of space to put it anywhere you need. It features eight outlets four with battery backup and two USB-A ports for versatile connectivity. Everything is labeled and the instructions are straightforward. Now the only con that I've noticed when I connected the ring alarm base unit on the battery supported and surge protector outlets after about 24 hours it would turn off and provide no power to the ring alarm base so therefore I would get a notification that my ring alarm is on cellular backup. I was thinking that maybe it was just that one outlet so I tried it on the other end and sure enough after 24 hours it did the same thing. Once I switched it over to the surge protected outlets I had no issues with the ring alarm base. I will test it out with other devices to see if it does the same thing but either I have a defected unit or the battery backup isn't powerful enough. Overall this surge protector power strip is a budget option for protecting your investments.
