Bought the Staple brand and not 3M. Should have bought 3M product. Staples' product split for the first foot or so and once applied it didn't adhere quickly. I can only hope that the product will do the job. I was counting on a quality product but it lacks the strength that 3M achieves.

Need cross filaments

Without cross-hatch fiberglass strands this tape is very weak. The tape will split between strands and has no strength longtitudally in other words there's no filament strength in the direction of the strands. One way to compensate for this design failure is to add a length of tape perpendicular every so often but especially at the ends. this will prevent and limit splits. the 3m tape with embedded cross-fiberglass threads takes this care of this problem. this problem manifests itself when starting to pull tape from the roll.

I bought several of this tape to pack things up in my house for a remodel and it is HORRIBLE!!! It splits apart and makes packing much more difficult! I am actually taking a roll back in a few minutes! Very Frustrating!!!~

Purchased 24 rolls which arrived Apr 19 2022. The fiberglass filaments are 1/2 the size of Scotch tape's filaments. This is very low-quality tape. Cannot recommend for shipping or other purposes. Returned for refund.
