Good Product but not bidirectional

This tape has the fiberglass filaments running lengthwise and it is good in that direction. However there are no filaments running perpendicular or at right angles and therefore it lacks strength of fibers in that direction.

Excellent product. Used to wrap holiday packages effectively.
This tape sticks very strongly. The only way to sever it is with scissors. I'm sure it did its job very well.

Need cross filaments
on June 25, 2022
Posted by: NOT CROSS-HATCHED, DON'T BUY.
Without cross-hatch fiberglass strands this tape is very weak. The tape will split between strands and has no strength longtitudally in other words there's no filament strength in the direction of the strands. One way to compensate for this design failure is to add a length of tape perpendicular every so often but especially at the ends. this will prevent and limit splits. the 3m tape with embedded cross-fiberglass threads takes this care of this problem. this problem manifests itself when starting to pull tape from the roll.

I never have to worry about a package opening when it's sealed with this tape. Even if the package becomes damaged it still stays together.

I pack equipment and this tape keeps the boxes from splitting. They always arrive in great condition.

TOTALLY WORTHLESS
on September 6, 2010

The nominal width of the tape is about 2" but the USABLE width is more like 1/4" since it immediately breaks down into 2 and 3 strand width where it splits along the filaments. USELESS!!!! Can't Staples find a better product than this!!!!
