I like the way it fits on the back of my desk so I can put important things on it within easy reach. It covers my adapters and cords from my business machines that sit on my desk. I am completely pleased with these shelves. I bought two and both were assembled with ease. Both sit properly when placed on a desk - no wobble. I got them for an off-label use. They are just long enough to place a computer keyboard and mouse pad on it. At present I am using them as lap desks for computers that I don't use at desks. This means I do move them around a lot and still they are holding together well. If you just plop them on your desk and leave them there then I am sure they will be fine.
