Doesn't Hold

I have used Command Hooks for at least 3 years with no issues prior to last year(when used as directed). Beginning last year the hooks were less dependable(don't stick to wall surface) and I had several small glass ornaments and pictures fall and break. This year I have had many more of the hooks fail where it's just not cost effective to use them. I will return to regular picture hangers and my trusty stapler.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had to use nano tape

Followed all directions. Didn’t stick, so I used Nano tape which worked!

I bought these hooks and followed the directions to hang the hook. Wiped the wall with alcohol(which took some of the paint off) held in place for 30 sec then waited an hour to hang the swag, which I weighed at 1 1/2 lb. It fell off the wall within an hour. I tried it again following the directions to a T. This time it took the paint off the wall when it fell off. For the price you pay for these, I'd expect them to work. This is the first time I tried them.

Great on glass

I have an area in my bathroom where I have always wanted to hang a towel, but on clear gass you see the hook back from the other side. With this hook, now I only notice the towel. Thank you 3M!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Command hooks and strips all over my house to hang pictures. So when I decided to hang plates in my dining room to decorate for Christmas, I bought a package of clear Command hooks. I followed the directions, wiping the wall with alcohol and pressing the hook for the suggested time. Then I waited 24+ hours before hanging anything. Some of the hooks fell off during the wait period and the one that I did test a plate on fell off immediately. I'm glad I put a chair under th plate to keep it from breaking. As it is my new decorative plate was chipped.
I don't know if the glue strips were bad or what, but I was very disappointed and had to use nails to hang the plates.

The Command(TM) Clear Medium Hooks are rated to hold up to 2 pounds and should remain on the surface until you want them removed just the same as our Command(TM) General Purpose and other products. For plate hanging you may want to consider our Command(TM) Picture Hanging Strips http://bit.ly/124CX9K. They're not clear, but would hide nicely behind your plates and may hold the force in a more supportive way. Holding Strong Like a Boss!

I placed both hooks on the end of my wooden desk to hold my purse on one hook (everyday - this is where my purse lives) and the 2nd hook is where my bookbag/satchel hangs between use. I expected my purse to fall ... it has NEVER fallen!
I would recommend this to a friend!
