It was not designed to hold any appreciable amount of files (i.e. weight). If you put too many documents in the drawers they slip out of alignment. You get what you pay for.

Changed my mind about quality

After I got 2 of these I was 1st happy with them however have since changed my mind as they are flimsy even though I oiled the locks thinking that would help they sometimes unlock easily & other times do not I am considering taking them back but the problem is I paid to have a nice piece of wood cut to use as a desk top ontop of these 2 file cabinets & just not sure I want to go through even more but trying to find another set of suitable ones ugh! PLUS one thing really bothering me is the drawers do NOT open very far at all compared to my larger older nicer heavier duty one. This is just frustrating! I guess you do get what you pay for but I think they cost enough the quality should be better.
