Game Changer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG, this is what I have been waiting for. I can now get rid of some of my office gadgets on my desk. I leave my machine on my desk now and I get more uses out of it! I LOVE IT. It's sleek, modern , clean looking, light and functional. I can bind up to 30 sheets in no time. I can complete a stack of meeting packets in half the time! You have the capability to use multiple size binding rings. I highly recommend this product.

Very nice product

This would also be a good choice for an office or school setting. Solidly built, convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a hobbyist user, an amateur genealogist who uses the machine to bind "Coffee Table" books on my ancestors, for my close family as well as cousins and friends. The ability to customize the content of each book allows me to create a unique book for each recipient. Data is printed on 63 lb paper to create a more durable product.
Until now I have been happy / satisfied using a Fellowes Star 150. I have punched 4 pages at a time (the maximum comfortable capacity of 63 lb paper on the Star 150). This Fellowes Lyra punches more smoothly with less effort. The actual insertion of pages onto binding coils is similar to the unit I am used to using. With it's heavier duty construction, this unit is superior to my present unit. My hesitation is the Star 150 is less than 1/2 the price of a Lyra. For the serious user I would recommend spending the extra $ to buy a Lyra, but the occasional user might find a Star 150 a better value. The 3 hole punch and built in stapler are convenient to have in one place but I don't have a strong opinion on that. My only negative is neither machine has a built in guide to bind along the 8.5" side of a 8.5x11 project. I have created a simple additional guide that aligns perfectly when binding along the 8.5" side. (Fellowes 11"combs easily cut down to 8.5")

Sturdy and well built

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my binding machine for home projects. The Lyra replaced an old, much smaller binding machine that I got from my father over 20 years ago.
The Lyra is intuitive, I was able to figure out how all of it worked within a few minutes of getting it out of the box, before opening the instructions. So far, it has performed flawlessly for me, I've bound a little more than a ream of paper using both the 3-hole punch and combs, I haven't had any issues. I can't say how the stapler is with significant use, the few times I've used it, it's worked smoothly.
Punching the maximum number of pages is easy, getting the maximum number of pages into the slot and properly seated is a little time consuming. It's faster to do punches a few pages below the maximum capacity, instead of fiddling with properly seating the maximum capacity. This applies to both the 3-hole punch and comb punch.
The Lyra is a large machine, it has a footprint similar to each of my legal-size laser printers, it takes up most of the depth of my coffee table. It has a good heft to it, which I like, it makes it easier to use, but it's not so great if you need to regularly move it to a work surface. I have a bedroom dedicated to home office equipment, so it's size and weight isn't an issue for me, but I still found it difficult to find an area for it.

Lyra 3-in-1 Binding Center -- Very good

This is a very good machine. The design is attractive and the device is sturdy. The stapler works well, and the lever handle is long enough to make stapling easy. The 3-hole punch also works well, with the paper alignment excellent because of the design of the paper entry and edge guide. The lever handle is quite long making hole punching easy. The binding system is very good and, again, the hole punching is excellent. Placing the punched paper onto the comb is a bit tricky and takes some practice but overall it works well. I would recommend this machine to anyone who needs stapling, 3-hole punching, and comb binding capabilities. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

easy to use

I use this product for all of my crafting and crochet patterns I have printed out. It will work great for school projects or even writers will love it.

Excellent binding machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine will useful in my home office. It can punch 3-holes on paper, punch the paper for binding, staple and bind. I find it very convenient that these tools are all part of a single unit. When my mom visited, she said she wished her workplace had one like this. It looks sleek and is easy to use. We timed it and can go from a pile of paper to a binded book in about 20 seconds. Punching the maximum 20 sheets at once does require some arm strength but you can just use less sheets at a time if it’s an issue. I plan on making marketing brochures to hand out to wholesale customers and also to add sheets to laser cut wood book covers. As a bonus use, my 8 year old loves making his own comic books and he absolutely loves being able to make nicely finished books with his creations (I do the binding for him).

Great machine, sleek design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3-in-1 binding center is a really great addition to my home office. Its small footprint is a definite plus, as my space is a bit tight. The machine itself has a very stylish look, and the ease of operation is a total plus. I have several unbound journals that this is perfect for. The quick and easy operation has made this the most favorite of all my office accessories.
