This is the size of rubber band I use to preserve in the freezer frozen food containers out of which I take some and leave the rest for later like frozen mixed vegetables a few of which I take for a salad or frozen broccoli from which I take a handful for a salad.

I bought a Mahjong set and the two tile cases were held together with a couple of rubber bands. The cases were stacked such that the top case was the cover for the lower case (it came with only one cover). So these rubber bands are doing a great job keeping the tiles in the cases. The bands seem to be flexible enough to hold (when in place) and not break when you try applying them.
