One touch heavy duty 3 hole punch

I bought this for my daughter because of needing for school. Was excited that it could punch so many pages at once. She was tired of using mine that only would do about 4 pages at a time.
I was admittedly skeptical and a little nervous ordering this "cheap" 3 hole punch for our office when our very expensive old one started jamming. I looked carefully at every other more expensive option and finally decided to go for it. I have not been sorry! Everyone in the office really has been very happy with its ease of use and functionality. It's much heavier construction than the photo or price would suggest and you can put 30 sheets in it and easily push the punch handle down with one hand- no throwing your entire body on top of it to force the plungers through the paper. I waited until it had been in use on a daily basis for 6 months to submit my review and it has stood that test of time. It's still working great!
Out with the old This punch requires only finger pressure to punch holes in a stack of papers. With my old punch I have had occasions to place it on the floor and step on the handle to achieve the same results. The fold down locking handle and adjustable slide for various paper lengths is convenient and a real space saver.
I really like the 30 sheet capacity. Generally I punch 10 - 15 sheets and the smaller punches required me to do half and then do the other half. With this punch 1 punch and it's done.
The unit is made of metal except for bottom cover (to hold punch-outs). You cannot adjust the position of the holes. The method to lock the handle down after use is unclear although this is a "feature" listed on the box. Force needed to punch a stack of paper is low. The "$10 OFF" (BIG print) sign on shelf was two part - $5 off at the checkout $5 off by applying for rebate via mail or online (details in small print). Too complicated - customers want the full discount at checkout. Would be interesting to know how many apply for the mail-in rebate - I bet low. That's the game Staples is playing.
