Negative Reviews are incorrect

I had originally written a fairly long negative review along the same lines as the few reviews with less than 5 stars because it appeared that this hole punch was about an inch off in standard spacing of holes. I'm a fairly bright guy who can usually figure things out without instructions so I normally just throw them away. It is possible that instructions were included with this product that would have told me how to fix the alignment but I can't say for sure since I didn't pay any attention to them. For those of you like myself who thought this unit might be defective let me give you a quick primer on how to adjust the unit so that the holes are aligned correctly. If the handle of the unit is facing you on the right side of the unit is a little black paper guide. Pull that paper guide out until you see a little line that says 11. That's it. Pretty simple. I'm really glad I figured that out before I took it back to the store and told them this unit was defective. That would have been embarrassing.

A good moderate price hole puncher

The unit punches holes appropriately but I was concerned about the door that is opened to remove the hole punches. It is made out of formed plastic and looks subject to failure if used frequently. Also the unit states that the waste emptying is quick and easy but I had to shake it in many directions over a large trash can. I can't see this product existing in an office environment very long. Of note the punch from the left margin is at least 1/4" off from my previous hole puncher.

As noted above used for personal projects mainly organizing cooking publications and recipes in 3-ring binders Most punched was 32 page booklets.

Charlie was very helpful in my search for the three-hole punch to fit my needs. It is difficult to find three-hole punches with wide enough openings to take think documents. The one I bought is adequate for this purpose.
