Templated magnetic glass dry erase board

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Templated Magnetic Glass Dry erase board by TruRed is a great product for teachers. The exchangeable whiteboard formats are awesome - teachers can use it with kids or a co- workers can use it to record collaboration ideas. I took off one star for 2 reasons: 1. It is heavy- not easy to move to install. & 2. The dry erase pen it came with bled all over the installation parts so installation was delayed until all the parts could get cleaned up enough to mount.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I'm thoroughly impressed with the Tru RED Templated Whiteboard. The glass design is akin to something from a modern office space making it both functional and stylish. The templates are a great feature for someone who isn’t committed to a specific use case for their whiteboard. They're incredibly easy to use and switch out allowing for seamless transitions between different projects or presentations. Plus the variety of templates available cater to various user specific needs. That said if you’re planning to use it as a monthly calendar that you reference back to you’ll have to erase your dates and entries to make way for something new you’re working on. Once I decided to mount the white board versus prop it up against the wall I realized I could flip the board with a little effort and work off the backside while maintaining my calendar. The board is very heavy though so it may be difficult for some to do so. Aside from the weight itself installing the whiteboard was a breeze. The instructions were clear and the process was straightforward. I chose to place it in my home office where it's become a focal point for my schedule and commitments. The included accessories and tray are pretty decent. The marker although only comes with one is comfortable to hold. The erasers feel nice and are made of metal. They also have a good weight to them. Being magnetic they double as a way to pin up something to the board. I would have liked it if the marker was magnetic as well. The tray keeps everything organized but I removed it so I could flip back and forth with it mounted to my wall. The Tru Red Templated Whiteboard definitely meets a lot of my needs. It’s a premium version of the classic whiteboard with a lot more versatility and functionality. It’s a standout version amongst alternatives.

Awesome Whiteboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first iverall impression of the TRU RED Templated Whiteboard was "Wow!" This whiteboard is very well made and shouts "high quality". I love the glass design which makes it easier to keep totally clean and nice looking. The templates were great with a good variety of needed templates to work in the modern office. The templates were very easy to switch out. I put the whiteboard in my office on a wall near my desk. It looks great! The accessories and tray were very nice. The only drawback with the whiteboard was the installation because the glass is very heavy for me to install. Otherwise with the provided installation template the whitweboard was easy to install.

Sleek whiteboard for your home and office needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TRU RED Templated Whiteboard offers so much in such a small amount of space! The 6 template designs that come with the board allow for versatility of use and purpose. The template designs were easy to slide in and out. The glass frame design provides a sleek and modern exterior to look classy in most any setting! The templates each were unique in function - making it a tool that could be used frequently in meetings or for planning. One challenge would be if you needed to use two tools or if you weren't done using one tool before needing to reference another. (For example if I was using the month calendar template as designed and had written my dates and plans on the glass but then wanted to use one of the other templates I would have to erase all of my writing to use an alternate template). Since the templates were made of a good material it would be probably be possible to potentially write directly on the template forms before sliding them into the frame - but that would increase the potential smudge and mess inside the frame. However if you wanted to more permanently change the template with a permanent marker or something this could be a useful solution. As far as installation the board is fairly heavy so it needs to be installed properly on a decent wall. I appreciated how the kit came with nearly everything you'd need to install including tape a paper mounting guide easy materials and clear instructions. All you need to do is make sure you have a second human available to help hold and install as well as the tools indicated. Due to the weight of whiteboard it does require that you use a mounting piece in each of the 4 corners including dry wall anchors - making it a pretty permanent (and very sturdy) piece to hang up. This is good when considering that you'll be pulling the templates in and out of the sides and putting slight pressure on the whiteboard when writing. I put the whiteboard in our living space to use during virtual meetings and also primarily as our family calendar. Love how it looks! I would suggest not putting anything too bulky below it - as it makes writing neatly on the glass a bit challenging once installed. Also if you plan to use for virtual meetings or take pictures of templates during use you will want to consider how lights and windows may impact reflection off of glass surface. I sometimes get a glare or reflection and may need to adjust lights or angle of computer/camera to be able to see board well. The board comes complete with magnets and a marker making it instantly ready for use! I didn't personally keep the tray attached because I have so much storage around the board that i just put the marker in the dresser drawer below but i think its great that its included because it makes it so easy to keep the marker right with the board for easy and immediate use. Great sleek-looking whiteboard for your home and office needs!

Tru Red templates whiteboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Tru Red Whiteboard! I will say It is very heavy and definitely requires two people for the installation part. Once it’s up the templates are extremely easy to switch out I mainly use the calendar sheet and with the spacious size I can easily have notes written up there along with the days tasks which is amazing for me. I have mine installed in my home office in the event I need to just clear it and use during a brainstorm session it’s cleans away with ease I really appreciate the versatility with this. It is a shame it only comes with one marker but that is such a minor complaint overall I highly recommend this whiteboard to anyone who may need more organization in the work place or to even use to coordinate the household members schedules/chores the possibilities are endless with this!

Heavy and Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TRU RED Templated Whiteboard is extremely durable but heavy too! It requires two people to install it and I feel it should be installed professionally. Otherwise the provided installation template the whiteboard was easy to install. The glass design is sleek and modern white adds to any office or in my case home office. I do wish this had some magnetic features so that I could attached important things to the whiteboard. The templets are great and switch out very easy I would like it if there was a closed off sections of one of the sides to prevent the other templets from falling out. The included accessories and tray is a great feature and addition to the white board. I like organization at this has it all! I didn't like the dry erase marker that came included it smeared and bled. I would recommend a different dry erase marker to use. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to try this white board!

Super Versatile Whiteboard for the whole family

Not only do we use it for all our family needs but it serves as a very useful tool for my day-to-day home office uses. The templates are absolutely brilliant - what a great idea! When installing the actual whiteboard is quite heavy but that just shows the durability of the tempered glass that they use. The Kanban template was a really nice touch that we were both very pleased to see as a common organizing tool for both of us parents. Our kids also love the versatility of the whiteboard being able to add their own engagements and easily write them in. We even have used it as a great way to play board games and have family discussions on our future trip planning as well as with homework. All in all this is a great useful tool for not only the home office but also for the whole family. The bottom tray for pens could be a little stronger of a connection but all in all no problems. We put it in our kitchen which now serves as a key focal point for all our family planning. Great whiteboard for the family!

Very Good but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Form Function I would rate this product a 4 overall. I will break the review down into two areas Form and function and speak to each of these. Form: the heavy glass finish is beautiful stylish easy to use and to clean. It’s a great size to allow for my team brainstorming sessions using the template documents notably I really like the Kanban template. I like all the templates but they are also a slight con to my review. The instructions to mount are easy to use and I had the tools needed to mount so that was a breeze. The mounting template is a nice touch in helping align the board to where I wanted it on my wall. Side note: the dry erase marker came damaged and had ruptured before delivery. Luckily I have my own marker. Function: the functionality of the board is novel and useful. I like that there are different templates and I don’t need to draw them on the board and then have to erase and redraw later if I am using the board for something else. All of the templates are good and serve useful functions however when I shift from calendar to graph I end up erasing the calendar dates and important appointments. Then I need to write them back in later. I did this twice and quickly got irritated by this process. Not sure if the material the templates are made from allow me to use marker so I can set the dates and then go back and forth from calendar to the other templates. The calendar template may need a do over or maybe change it to another template altogether. It’s a minor nuisance that doesn’t really hurt the board because I have a calendar notebook so I just won’t use the calendar template going forward. Overall: I really like the board and it will get a ton of use.
