Terrific pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically loathe mechanical pencils but these are an exception. Normally I find them too clunky in my hand. This pencil has a smooth, not overly large barrel and soft-textured grip. The lead is a smooth 0.7 which is a good size for me because I tend to write with a lot of pressure. Finer leads tend to snap a lot with me. One awesome feature - the eraser has a removable cover. No more funky eraser tips after lots of clicking. They are packaged in fives with additional lead and eraser tips in a sealed tube. I would absolutely purchase these for myself, my office and my son (who is super hard on pencils) because I know they would hold up to a little abuse and keep going. My only ding would be please make these in less flashy colors. I am not inclined to bring these into a meeting with clients for example, but for my personal office use/kid's use, they are just fine. I received these pencils gratis from BIC in exchange for my opinion.

The colors kept her happy and the price and quality was exactly what I needed. The pencils last long, are smooth writing, and the eraser does not fall out like with other types of mechanical pencils. We rate this product 5 stars for looks and quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these pencils are eye candy, because of the nice colors. At the same time they are tough and easy enough for my 3 year to work. The lead is strong so you don't go through all of your in a couple of days. When writing with Bic velocity mechanical pencils, it's very smooth and doesn't hurt your fingers when holding the pencils for a long time. The eraser performs really well, gets rid of everything you want to erase completely. My children and I really enjoy using these mechanical pencils.

My son only uses mechanical pencils and has some pretty neat ones and metals ones and uses them for drawing also he says he likes the lead in these better then the old" kind."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity mechanical pencil has to be one of the best I have tried. It writes very nicely and writes darker compared to others. The lead does not break as easily as others I have used and it erases very nicely without all that eraser mess. My daughter loves the colors of the pencils, the lead is not colored just the shell of the pencil, and how comfortable it feels while writing due to soft rubber grip. Very easy to change the lead and eraser, just pop off the eraser and drop the lead in or pop on new eraser, so simple. Very nice to get both refills of lead and erasers with these pencils. We are very pleased with these and I will continue to buy these mechanical pencils.
