He enjoys drawing with the Velocity pencils the best, because they have strong lead, dont break easily, and the outcome is very smooth. He even passed out the some to his classmates and they all loved them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot stand a dull pencil lead. It drives me crazy and I have to have a sharpener on hand at all times if I try to use regular pencils. This was the first year all of my children could substitute mechanical pencils for traditional pencils so it was the perfect time to try BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils. It has been a week of school so far and no pencil sharpening at all! I am a lead breaker, putting too much pressure on most mechanicals for them to write smoothly. So far I have only broken one BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencil lead and that was when I knew I was pressing down too hard. All of my children have commented how nice it is not to have to stop what they are doing so often to sharpen a pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving our BIC Velocity pencils I let my kids pick a color (after I picked, of course). These pencils really do write smoother and darker than other mechanical pencils that we've used. We also like the fact that they don't rip the paper when we're writing like other mechanical pencils sometimes do. The lead also doesn't break while writing as easily as other brands, and erases easily. BIC Velocity are the best mechanical pencils we've used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think I will be purchasing these mechanical pencils from now on. First, I love the bright colors! I think these pencils are more attractive than most mechanical pencils. My daughters love them! The rubber grip on the pencil helps with a comfortable hold, and helps my youngest daughter, who is just learning how to write and hold the pencil properly. The pencil has a pen like tip, and the led comes out of that. I think that really helps keep the led from breaking. I put a lot of pressure on my writing instruments, and I have rarely broken the led in these pencils. This is also an important feature for my youngest. Most mechanical pencils would not work for her, but due to the grip and the way the pencil tip is formed, she is able to use these pencils. The eraser works perfectly. I hate a pencil that writes good, but the eraser leaves marks on the paper and does not erase pencil marks. This eraser has a plastic cap (which probably will end up getting lost), and white eraser that erases the line completely. The pack also comes with led refills, and eraser refills, so the pencils will last a while. Overall, I would recommend this pencil to others. It was the perfect back to school pencils for my girls, and I will be purchasing another pack when these need replacing.

I am now taking mine to work to use there and don't even use the ones they provide anymore. The eraser does and fantastic job as well. I am sold!

They are comfortable to hold and write with. I have been able to use these and write for long periods without having any issues. The lead is dark and clear and yet erases easily. I use mechanical pencils often and these are some of the best I have found for everyday use. They are durable and don't fall apart easily. I love having pencils I can enjoy since I have to use them often. These definitely fall into that category.
