[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though the kids have just started back to school, the Bic Velocity is their favorite pencil. They love the colors, how comfortable to hold and the smoothness of the lead. They love the idea that they can just refill these. We have had other refillable pencils and they usually just get thrown in the teach but they will not toss these! They write smoothly and don't break as often as others. I love that my kids want to write and doodle with these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils!! They're durable. They actually have the metal tips, instead of the cheap plastic ones. The lead is awesome. The writing actually comes out dark and very clear. It smudges just a little but you actually have to rub on it a little to get that to happen. It erases pretty cleanly and without a ton of mess. The kids love them! #BICVelocity #GotItFree @BzzAgent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The darkness of the lead makes writing so much easier to see. Such strong lead that doesn't break with a little pressure. The grip is great, and the colors are perfect for my kids.

BIC has made me rethink mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BIC Velocity Pencils are really well made. We are loving the bright and bold colors. They are surprisingly strong in that the lead is thinner than the average #2 pencil, but these leads aren't flimsy/fragile/easily broken. We find that just pushing the top and having out just enough lead to write with is best - no need to push out more lead as it's not necessary and will make the pressure point weaker. These thinner leads are great for things like precision writing, writing for an extended time or writing within a small space (ex: forms with limited writing space). My middle school-er is really enjoying writing with these mechanical pencils. He is working hard on his cursive writing and says that the BIC Mechanical Pencils make calligraphy or cursive writing easier as the point of the lead is smaller and it is easier to control the pencil due to the smooth tip. I also like the padding near the lead as it makes the pencil easier to grip. It will be much more comfortable to take notes in class once school begins and I won't have to be bothered by having to use the pencil sharpener." Although my son does say that he wishes there were more "boyish" colors - describing the majority of the mechanical pencils as basically girlish colors. He said he would like to see more basic colors like green

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children thought the #BicVelocity pencils were cool because of the different colors. They gave the extra pencils to their friends in the first day of school and they were a hit. The second day of school they asked to bring their friends the $1 off coupons. That's #BicVelocity for letting us try them for free. The kids already want to buy more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love, love, love bic's mechanical pencils. They have been my to go work instrument, no pens, no wooden pencils, for more than half my life and the pencils I would get my kid for school. These are just cooler and easy to write with. I love them!! #BICVelocity #GotItFree

writes so smoothly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves BIC Velocity mechanical pencils. He is not a big fan of regular lead pencils. He has tactile issues and mechanical pencils have always worked best for him. They come with #2 lead so schools like them. I like that the lead does not break easily. My son often presses either too hard or too lightly and leads break frequently for him. We go through a lot of mechanical pencils. With I find that BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils seem to have stronger lead that can take a little bit of a beating. The lead also is dark and writes smoothly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was sitting at the table last night and showed me how she likes that the eraser on these pencils is covered with a cap. She really likes that feature and wanted to show me how she likes it. She is happy with these pencils and has told me they work great! She's also been comparing her pencil to her friends pencil and said hands down these are the best mechanical pencil she's used and asked me to get some more. She's using it for her homework. Hard to believe school has already started this week! She's also been using them since we got them to draw. The lead is dark and crisp she says. Yes the lead does erase cleanly which an added bonus. She asked when we use up the lead to buy more and I told her I would. I agree with her that these are a great back to school pencil and we'll definitely keep them around!
