She actually prefers to use mechanical pencils because really when you're running around between 7 different classes who wants to bother with a sharpener. And the fact that she doesn't have to worry about running out of lead because it included refills is an added bonus. Her favorites are the pretty purple colored pencil.

These Pencils Rock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always preferred to write in pencil. Unfortunately, as an adult, it's frowned upon. When we received these packages of pencils, we were excited. They look so cool. Their colors are so vibrant and they're very easy to hold. The lead is sturdy. In a flurry of composing a report, there is no worry about the lead breaking half way through. The lead is very easily and cleanly erased with the attached eraser, leaving very little residue. All in all, The Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils are much better than any mechanical we've used in the last few years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thrilled with the new BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and so are my kids. I received two packages as a part of my Buzz campaign and took one to work and gave the other to my 3 children. We all love them. This pencil is easy to grip, writes very well and I also break the lead less often. There is a pencil grip integrated into the pencil which makes it much easier to hold and to write with. The eraser is longer which is great for the kids as they erase much more than I do. It is rare that you find a product which works for everyone in our household. BIC has hit a homerun with the Velocity Mechanical Pencils.

They were both (boy 10, girl 7) super excited to get their own pack each. They thought the colors were fun and couldn't get over how the refill pack has BOTH erasers and lead! They put some in their pencil box and brough them to school from the first day on. My daughter said these were the fanciest" pencils she has ever had and is very proud to show them off to her friends at school."

They write smoothly and the lead is very durable. They are very comfortable and have a soft grip to rest your hand around. Comes with extra lead and easers. The easers don't seem to disintegrate like on the regular pencils

He did his homework tonight with one of these pencils and it's the best handwriting I have ever seen! He said the grip really helped, unlike all of the other grips and pencils we have tried (and there have been many). I am just shocked and I will happily continue to buy these if his handwriting can be this good! It was great to see him so proud of his writing!

I didn't break the lead which I have always had an issue with. I didn't have to try and feed the lead back into the pencil. These pencils were above and beyond any other mechanical pencil that I have used.
