Every year when it's time to go to the store for back to school supplies she will not buy any other pencils but mechanical. She swears by them and BIC is her favorite! We love the extra lead that comes with them and they last so much longer than regular lead pencils. Love the different colors as well they come in. I highly recommend BIC pencils for all your back to school needs and anytime you need to buy pencils! 2 Thumbs Up!!! Great product!!

They are comfortable to hold, have fun colors, and the lead doesn't break like other pencils. My child told me that kids kept asking where they got those cool pencils at! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC's Velocity Mechanical Pencils are a win in our household. The colors are super fun - just bright and cheerful, and according to my daughter, fun to use. They're very sturdy as well and feel solid in your hand. They're very smooth to write with, no smudging, and the leads don't break like a lot of other mechanical pencils. My daughter is usually a regular pencil girl, but she grabbed a couple of these for a few of her classes that she's allowed to use mechanical pencils in (other teachers say they can't stand the constant clicking, haha). Her science teacher was so impressed with her bright Velocity pencils that I sent along some from the extra pack for the classroom. My daughter just thinks they're fun to use, and because they write smoothly, erasing mistakes is much easier. The eraser is good quality and doesn't leave those unsightly smudges that cheap erasers leave on paper. Since those drive my kiddo crazy, she's very happy to use them! They're great for adults, too! My husband is a mechanical pencil fiend and uses them all day for work. He usually buys regular Bic mechanical pencils and has always liked them, but he likes the heftier, sturdier feel of the Velocity pencils. He managed to convince our daughter to share a couple with him and he's been obsessed with using them ever since. The only downside is that we can't seem to find any of the regular Velocity pencils in store (only the side-click, which my family doesn't like as much). These are great pencils for kids and adults: lots of fun to look it, but really good at what they're meant for - writing smoothly!
