Durable Mechanical Pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencil is a great pencil to use. The comfort grip makes it feel soft and it didn't cramp my fingers after using the pencil for a while. The lead advanced nicely and didn't stick or break off. The tip of the pencil is strong and doesn't get pushed back in if too much pressure gets used like it does with some other pencils. The lead is smooth, writes nicely and doesn't have a scratchy sound to it like some others do. The only problem I can see with the pencil is that you have to remove the eraser to fill it with lead and if the eraser gets used a lot (so it's warn down a lot) it might get hard to remove it to fill with new lead.

I love that the pack came with extra lead and erasers- a big plus. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because they are way to pricey.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils in the mail my kids were ecstatic!!! I have six children and they all love and prefer mechanical pencils. The down side that I hated about mechanical pencils were they always left nasty smudges when we tried to erase but not with these new BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils!!! They are awesome!!! My kids especially loved the colors. With school starting these were at the top of their list for their school supplies. Thanks BIC and BZZAGENT for the awesome free samples and coupons!!!

Going Through a Pack a Day!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, so it seemed! At least once a week I was running to the store for new mechanical pencils. The ones I was buying would easily break! Or the lead would fall out! And sometimes even the clicker on wouldn't bring down the lead. Very frustrating. Especially for the kids and school. Do you remember the days of having to borrow a pencil and teacher or the kid getting mad next to you? It doesn't happen with the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils!!!! A few weeks into school already and all 3 kids are still on the same pencil! All of them said the lead hasn't even broken one time. I hold onto my pink pencil and write in my journal everyday with no breakage either. I love the way the it writes so smoothly!

She says they feel good in her hand, but the lead breaks a little too easily. The colors are very bright. She gave a pack to her best friend to try and I will update as soon as I hear her thoughts.
