My daughter in 5th grade and my 10th grade son brought these to school and they work really well. We had a little bit of a problem getting the eraser off to refill the lead, I was afraid to break something but my son just ripped the eraser off. lol They write well, and are fun to use. Very happy with them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I've been out of school for years and have rarely picked up a mechanical pencil since, but my son recently graduated from the wooden barrels to mechanical pencils. First off, I have to say that the lead is great--my son used to complain about the friction when using other leads. I do think that the best feature is the eraser--finally a pencil that erases as well as it writes! I am glad that my days of sharpening are behind me, and he loves the pop of color, especially his favorite blue BIC Velocity mechanical pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with these pencils. They are comfortable to write with, and they write very cleanly. My daughter loves them, too. She usually doesn't use mechanical pencils because she breaks the lead so easily, but these pencils are durable enough that she does not break the lead constantly. Having additional lead and erasers is definitely a plus as well!

I am in nursing school and I prefer the neatness, the lead strength. I have always used bic mechanical pencils. I'm glad they have continued to keep their quality. Which is why I continue to use them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge homework helper!!!! My son has struggled with handwriting since he started school. We always use mechanical pencils for the convenience. He seems to push down really hard when writing, and with other mechanical pencils, I would find the lead would break every few words, really messing with his productivity and slowing his progress in his work. We would go through them very quick as well. What a difference these new BIC Velocity pencils make! We just got through and entire 1 hour homework session without the lead breaking on him once. He was so impressed by not only that, but how smooth they write. He said it felt like writing with a smooth pen. The eraser does a great job of removing any traces of what was previously written, and the cap on top of it makes him feel like it's extra special. We can't wait to continue using these throughout the year. 5 stars!!!!!

I love watching my kids doodle and doodle until their pencil is completely out of lead. More then ever, they stop whatever productive activity they are doing because once their lead breaks, they don't want to read sharpen. Now I've watched them sit for hours and doodle draw and write. I couldn't be happier, and neither can they!

I too am excited about how great they work an make writing more fun for myself! haha. I keep them in my pen/pencil holder at work also and so many people have asked to borrow my colorful pen. I show them it's a cool pencil and they want to know where I got them from. Coupons that were included with this kit have been flying off my desk for people wanting them. The lead stays even and smooth and we have never had a issue with it breaking. Just wearing down with all the writing we are doing with these. The erase is designed well and works great. No messing marks or torn papers. I, especially, like the cushion on the barrel part for easy gripping. Fantastic, well-made pencils!
