[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone in my family really loves these awesome BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils! They are so cute in 5 bright colors and erase with ease! The lead is strong and doesn't break, it writes dark and consistent. I haven't seen my kids excited to write and draw in a long time until I showed them these pencils! They immediately wanted to get some paper and start writing letters to family out of town and draw some pictures! I highly recommend these pencils they blow any and all competition? out of the water!

Writes nice & comfortable to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not normally a mechanical pencil user, I prefer to use regular pencils, so I enlisted the help of my middle school son who uses them frequently. We compared the writing & ease of use of the new BIC velocity as well as a normal BIC mechanical & regular #2 pencil. What we found was that they all write very well, they are clear to read & make clean crisp lines. We did prefer the comfort & feel of the BIC velocity over the normal BIC & my son especially liked the lid that covers the eraser on the new BIC velocity. However he much prefers the way the old normal BIC mechanical pencil is refilled with led over the velocity. In the normal BIC the plastic top comes off & led is filled underneath, in the new velocity he has to actually remove the eraser & put the led in under it & then push the eraser back into the top. Over time as the eraser gets lower it gets difficult to get ahold of to pull out & refill with led. Plus having to pull it out often can result it in breaking or not wanting to stick back into it's place properly. I received this pack for free, however had I had to pay full price it would have been $3.64 for a 4 pack, which was more than many other mechanicals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Variety of colors. Writes smoothly with out that annoying dry sound. Doesn't break lead as much as other brands we have used. All in all a pretty awesome pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really impressed. My child said that they are smoother and they don't leave smudge marks when she draws. She also impressed on how well the pencils erase and don't leave behind errors. I didn't think I would have to buy more, but she used them so much, I did! This is not a bad thing, it just means she loved the pencils. #BICVelocity and #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are great! My son prefers mechanical pencils over the regular pencils and normally we just buy the no frills. When he opened up these pencils he was super excited to put them in with his school supplies. The grip is more comfortable and the lead writes easily on the paper. I love the erasers and that we get extra ones! This is a superior mechanical pencil!
