I've obviously passed this obsession onto my oldest son bc he absolutely loves these BIC Velocity pencils! They write very smooth and the erasers don't wear out super quick. He loves the colors and has already stocked his backpack with all of them! He can't wait for school to start tomorrow so he can show them off!

They all have said that the leads are super strong--much stronger than the others on the market. They have been using the pencils since they started school 3 weeks ago, and I have yet to replace the leads. Mechanical pencils are mandatory at my girls schools, so I will not buy ANYTHING else but the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils from this point forward. If you are still working on your kids your school supply, this is a must have. #GotItFree

My youngest usually has a little difficulty using mechanical pencils, but he was able to grip and write with these just fine. They write sooo smoothly and the writing shows up really dark. I love that they come with extra erasers and lead. We always use up the erasers so quickly! I do a lot of crossword puzzles and other word puzzles and these are my new favorite pencils for that. I've shared the coupons I've gotten with friends and told all my family members they have to get these pencils. They are so worth the extra money! ESPECIALLY if you're a big writer or in school! So happy I got to try these out. #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were able to try out these pencils for free in exchange for our honest review. My teenage son uses nothing but mechanical pencils, so his input was very important to me for this review. They look cool, which is always a plus, but looks aren't always everything! The lead is strong and durable. I'll admit, I usually buy the cheap multipacks of pencils and you definitely get what you pay for. I am constantly hearing the lead snap while he's doing his homework. But the lead in the BIC Velocity pencils was actually stronger and held up to his intense algebra homework. The eraser worked nicely and actually did its job without smudging or leaving residue. It's a decent size too! Usually mechanical pencils come equipped with a tiny little nub of an eraser that is used up after a few mistakes. My son loves the eraser cap, and thinks it's a nice asset. I think that part will be a matter of preference, because for me, I found it to be a little bit of a nuisance, because I'd always forget to take it off before I attempted to erase something. I don't think it's a nuisance enough to knock the rating down, though! The pencils are a little pricy depending on where you're purchasing them, but you do get extra lead and erasers! Also keep in mind that you get what you pay for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC Velocity mechanical pencils are the best,surprising enough my husband was very excited to try the Bic Velocity pencil because he uses mechanical pencils for work everyday,and when he tried the Bic Velocity pencil he fell in love,he loves how strong the led is,that it looks more like a pen and one of his favorite things is he can clip it to his shirt pocket at work,nerd maybe,lol but he has a point,most mechanical pencils do not have clips and my child loves that she can clip it to her notebook and folders once school starts,and I love the clip because it clips on my shopping list ,so I don't have to dig in my purse for a pen or pencil at the store..and writing is a lot more fun,these Bic Velocity mechanical pencils are so much like pens,no one in the house are using pens anymore,everyone perfers the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils,they erase wonderfully,never see anything left over,we all still love the little eraser caps and of course, forget it is there all the time because it fits so well with the pencil and doesn't stick out in an odd shape,I have given out all my coupons to some very happy parents and others,who are planning on running up and getting some and who can blame them and the lucky few who received a sample pencil,have already bought some,lol..so to sum it up..wow,what a great mechanical pencil,writing has become so much more fun,I have even started up a journal because these wonders,don't make my hand hurt when writing for long periods of time.They are strong,smooth writing miracles,everyone loves the choice in colors,and I am so happy that writing in my home has become so much more enjoyable,and after this test is said and done I will still purchase an recommend these Bic Velocity mechanical pencils,and so will my husband who already has people buying them and he wasn't even the tester..so thanks Bic Velocity mechanical pencils for becoming a part of our family.
