Love the extra..

These are all my Daughter wants to use,and i have yet to find ones that are reliable enough to justify spending the money on. These will do it. Obviously the fun colors make them enticing for kids which is a pluse. I like that with these the LED doesnt seem to break as easy as most other mechanical pencils. That for me sealed the deal that my daughter is allowed to use these for school! # gotit free #bicvelocity

They squeaked horribly when I would write with them. While it's probably just a personal problem, it was bothersome enough for me to avoid using these pencils.

They are more durable than other brands and work much better than others that we have tried. We also love the bright vibrant colors that they come in as well as the extra leads in the package. We shared the second pack and some of the coupons with her friends from school and told their moms about the pencils since we are all shopping for back to school supplies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The back of the pencil is unremarkable; a clear plastic cap covers a small, white, barely functional eraser (it works about as well as most mechanical pencil erasers). This assembly can be pushed down to activate the lead advance mechanism. Just down from this is a plastic clip, functionally all right, with the pencil?s information written on it. Down from there, the body is clear and straight until it get to the rubberized grip section where it bulges then hourglasses, creating a nice place to rest your fingers. The little cap cone after this is clear, and has the metal tip floating inside so that is retracts when the lead is retracted, preventing the tip from getting caught on anything. Writing is fine. The lead is standard. It doesn?t break much, goes on smoothly enough and dark enough for school or office work. There is no advanced shock absorber or lead turning to prevent any damage, though, but at the price, that?s teetering on the edge of reason. The grip is comfortable enough to get one through writing or drawing without too much trouble. It doesn?t slip and isn?t too narrow. The overall construction is solid, and it feels like it won?t break in your hand. Overall, the Velocity is fine. It isn?t the best mechanical pencil ever, and it has no real features, but it?s solidly and relatively comfortably built. It is fairly inexpensive and comes with enough refills of erasers and lead to last the user for some time. As far as inexpensive options go for mechanical pencils, it?s a good one, but there?s nothing special about it.

I love the grip between my fingers and that its easy to refill. The pencils are made better than competitive brands and are made so much better. I highly recommend purchasing Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils whether its for school, homework, the office or everyday use.

Best Mexhanical Pencil I have Ever Used

I write pre-sentence reports on defendants and part of this job requires me to interview defendants in jail. I always write in pencil when I interview people because I need to be able to erase or correct information and writing in pencil helps me differentiate their writing from mine. Today I had to interview three people, which meant three hours of writing and I thought omg perfect time to test out this new product from BIC. All I can say is wow. I have NEVER used a mechanical pencil that did not break(well the lead) on me. Bic velocity pencils did not break at all on me. They didn't leave red marks on my fingers and erased extremely well. I was extremely impressed. Any pencil that I can use continuously, for three hours, is a hit in my book. And so far in two years BIC Velocity is the only mechanical pencil to not disappoint me. I fully intend to purchase more.
