[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BICVELOCITY mechanical pencils are a wonderful addition to the back to school list. My daughter absolutely loves them. She asked me to let her test them out on a story book she is writing. She came to me within the first 5 mins of using the BICVelocity and told me she loves them. She showed me her writing and said look how pretty my writing looks. I have to start my story over because this part is with a regular pencil and this part is with the new one and the new one is sooooo much better mom I loves these can u buy more so I can use them my whole 4th grade year please!! She really likes the fact as well as I do that when she erases the paper do sent look smudged it looks clean like she didn't even have to erase a section at all. And not to mention the lead is so easy to put in it will not easily break like most mechanical pencils do. And the variety of vibrant colors to choose from is also a plus with the grip it's easier to hold the pencil and have more control of it. My daughter loves them and I will continue to buy this product. As well as stock up on them for her to use throughout the school year! Couldn't add a pic because it won't let me for some reason.

My son said his friends fought over the bright colors when he shared them at school. I have already had to buy more because the kids at school borrow them but love them so much they don't want to give them back.

As a math teacher I buy tons of supplies needed for my classroom and for my own kids. For me, the pencil is one of the most important tool to have in the classroom. Normally I get both mechanical pencils as well as regular pencils because they have a mixture of preferences. The thing I like most about mechanical pencils is not only can you get number two lead, but you don?t have to worry about having a pencil sharpener around. As a classroom teacher, this is a big deal with 35 students. I got these BIC velocity mechanical pencils from BzzAgent and loved them the first time I used them. Not only is BIC a trusted brand, but also because it comes with extra lead and extra erasers! Can?t beat the value here! Plus they are colorful and have a soft comfortable grip. The thing with mechanical pencils is that they tend to write lightly, but Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils seem like they write darker and smoothly, and all my students can see what we are doing when I use my document camera. Also what I like about these is unlike other mechanical pencils the tip is metal rather than a cheap plastic that breaks! So they are durable enough to survive my students. I surly will buy these again year after year. Bic...if you have any Velocity pencils you would like to donate to my classroom, we would love them. Thanks to Bic and BzzAgent!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has had some assignments for her Advanced Practical English III Class that has required her to use pencils and notecards. She has always preferred mechanical pencils and since BIC seems to be the most popular brand, we have often used their pencils. I asked her what she thought about the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and she said that they have a very smooth writing style. She really likes the color or the pencils and the grip. She is used to using a thinner BIC mechanical pencil, but she says that the Velocity is easier to manipulate. She does not like the erasure when comparing it to the other BIC mechanical pencil. She feels like it is too small. I think the quantity of pencils is appropriate for the package and I really like the erasure and lead refills that come with the product.
