My daughter is very picky on what type of pens and pencils she uses for school work and things she does at home. She prefers mechanical pencils versus the ones that need to be sharpened. When I gave her the pencils the first thing she noticed is that it comes with extra erasers and leads. This was a major plus in her book. They write smoothly and the comfortable grip makes it easy to write. Much better than the previous mechanical pencils she used in the past! Her other mechanical pencils she used did not erase easily and she had to buy comfort grips to add to the pencils so that she can write better. She also had to buy extra erasers and leads. This set has it all so she is all set for her first day of school.

The pencil has a smooth feel and a comforting fit. The colors are so fun and can't wait for the school year to start?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were pretty excited about this because it was something they were going to get the opportunity to use. The kids love mechanical pencils but always complain about how they don't erase well and break easily. Right off the bat we noticed that the pencils were a lot sturdier than other pencils. We even put it to the test by trying to bend it to see if it would break and to our surprise it did not. The lead erased very well to our surprise. The rubber grip is a nice addition to make the pencil very comfortable to hold. It also gives you a lot more control when writing. We also liked the colors and the fact that they came with extra lead. These pencils were not difficult to find. They were available available everywhere we shopped. The only dislike for us was the price of the pencils which was 5 or 6 dollars depending on where we shopped for a pack of 5. But they would definitely be worth the extra money due to all the extra benefits the pencil provides. Overall we were pleased with the Bic Velocity Pencils. My kids have made them part of their regular writing utensils.

Sturdy Smooth Writers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils are great for everyday use. The lead writes smoothly?no little lead flakes left behind on your work?and produces a dark, thick stroke to your letters. The barrel of the pencil is more like that of a pen, so I think they are more comfortable to write with than the cheaper version of BIC?s mechanical pencils. The other thing that I like is that the pencils come with an extra supply of lead AND ERASERS! Those little erasers on mechanical pencils are always the first to go, so having an extra stash of them is a great solution to that problem. However, I have to say that the clear protective eraser topper doesn?t stay on very well and is kind of annoying to have to take on and off when you need to erase. That could be improved upon. Kids like the cool colors, as you can see in the picture.

The lead is dark and not too thin but strong. Easy to erase. I like that these are refillable. Kids are eager to show them off in class.

Amazing lead pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't think I would like these lead pencils at all because the quality didn't seem as good as the papermate 5 star lead pencils I usually use. However u was proven wrong I fell in love with these pencils because of how smooth and neat I could write when I was using it. I love the variety of colors the lead pencils came in and the eraser was really smooth. It was easy to erase any mistakes with it. The pack comes in 5 with lead refills and erasers which is amazing because I hate it when lead pencils don't include extra erasers. I am in love with these lead pencils and definitly going to be buying a lot more packs before school starts. The best part is that it doesn't cost nearly as much as the old lead pencils I used before. Therefore it's a win win for my wallet and my writing!
