The grip helps to complete crossword puzzles with ease. I also can appreciate a good eraser and this one erases marks away completely. The only I never got with any writing utensil is the tiny plastic cap you have over the eraser. More often than not these are just annoying, get lost and frankly... are a waste of plastic. Other than that, these will be my go to mechanical pencil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are awesome, and work well for the entire family. I love the soft grip on the pencil, it is comfortable and makes it bigger than your typical mechanical pencil. It really does reduce hand fatigue, and makes for a comfortable writing experience. The lead writes smooth and dark, and even stood up to my 2 year old without breaking. And, the eraser is smooth, and works nicely. The colors are fun and bright, which is what really attracted my kids. They will definitely be a must have for back to school, especially since the pencils have No. 2 lead. One of my favorite things is that the lead and erasers are refillable, and they even come with extra lead and erasers. I find most mechanical pencils are either not refillable or extra lead has to be purchased separately, so this is definitely a bonus! Overall, I am very pleased with the BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils. They definitely surpassed my expectations!

No worrying about having to sharpen the lead, just a simple click and BAM it is sharp! I have a ton of regular pencils and the lead is broke and no sharpener. Now my kids can do there homework without worrying if the lead breaks what they will do. I love how you don't even have to press hard to get the dark, legible look! And the best thing is that it is made by a company that many people know!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC Velocity...why call a mechanical pencil Velocity? This pencil writes as well and as smooth as a ballpoint pen. No 'pencil fatigue' with these. The bright colors are entertaining and easy to find when searching for a writing utensil...and no more finding a pen that doesn't write or a pencil that needs to be sharpened. The lead on these is sturdy and not easily broken, coupled with the eraser, mistakes are cleared as though they never exsisted. I have never been a big mechanical pencil enthusiast, but BIC Velocity changed my mind.

The colors are bright and pretty, the grip is comfortable, the lead writes smoothly and they are just a great sight to have on my desk. I cannot wait until my kids start school and can use these. I also love that the barrels of the pencil are the same color as the pencil theme. Most mechanical pencils that are clear body have the simple black or white barrel, which does not appeal to the eye but the BICÆ VelocityÆ Pencils just look so cute! And the lead/eraser holder is one, you do not have to have two separate cases for each. You can just buy the refills and add them to this lil case, not ever having to lose one or the other.

They write SMOOTHLY like an ink pen, have tough leads, and erase clean! As a BzzAgent I #GotItFree to test and try, and have since purchased many more with $$ out of my own pocket! I like to write heavy, and usually end up breaking pencil tips, but these stand up to the pressure I use. I also really like that these erase totally clean and can be used on standardized tests b/c they're #2 leads. They're also very comfortable in your hand, and have a nice cushioned grip. I simply cannot say enough good things about them! I highly recommend them! It's the only kind of mechanical pencil we're going to buy from now on! Love them! :-)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil is a great mechanical pencil. My kids were excited to try these out with their back to school supplies. They use them at home to do homework and at school throughout the school day. My son has commented that the BIC pencil seems to write darker than his other pencils and he likes that fact. I am happy to see my kids using these pencils because they are writing darker and are easier to erase.
