Well I let her open it just to try it out and we love how smooth it is. My teen took a pack and ran with it and made the younger two share the other pack. I've been getting little love notes all week from my youngest. She really likes these "chanical pencils". My teen loves the colors!!!"

She uses mechanical pencils all the time, but these are to bulky when trying to hold it. She likes the ones that are thin like original pencils. I guess they are not for everyone.

The colorful variety that comes in a package was a hit with my children because they were able to use their favorite colors. They enjoyed the ease of use the pencils and not having to press down to hard to write a clear readable line. They also liked how easy it was to erase any mistakes, and how the eraser didn't leave a smudge. The lead pencils are really great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the feel of these pencils. They are more comfortable to write with than some others that I have tried. My kids love the color and the feel of Bic Velocity mechanical pencils. As soon as the packages arrived they picked out their favorite colors. I love the fact that they came with extra erasers too. I gave this 4 star because my middle schooler likes them but says it's hard for him to erase without it pushing out more lead. Other than that he loves them. I also like how excited they got over them and started writing with them right away.
