BIC Velocity takes Mechanical Pencils to a new level!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these new BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are amazing because my son gets really OCD about the normal pencils you sharpen to the point we had to have a parent conference about him using his pencil sharpener to often in class. He is also really picky about the way a pencil has to feel and he is in love with the shape and how smooth these pencils are. The lead writes so smoothly and doesn't even break easily. The pencil has and eraser cover as well as extra erasers in the container that carries your extra lead. This is amazing because normal pencil always end up loosing the eraser before the end of the pencils life. My son loves the way these look and can't wait to bring them to school.

They found them to be comfortable to write with and the leads were strong. They found their handwriting to be much neater. I used one to write a birthday card and was pleasantly surprised how neat and smooth my experience was. Big thumbs up.

My son wanted mechanical pencils this year for 5th grade and these fit the bill perfectly. The bright colors keep the pencils from getting lost in his desk and the lead writes smooth and dark without undue pressure. This keeps his hands from cramping up with all the writing they do. And the extra erasers - that's a brilliant idea. Wish mechanical pencils came with extra erasers when I was in school!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Bic Velocity mechanical pencils are the cream of the crop! I am a die-hard pen user when it comes to, well. Everything. But when I got my hands on these pencils, I knew that I needed to give them a try, so I set aside my pens and grabbed these brightly-coloured pencils instead! First thoughts first: the colours? To die for! Gorgeous pencils that are hard to lose and fun to use; I wish more stationary were this pretty! I love bright colours, and people pretty much knew that these were MY pencils when they saw them, since they're so bright and cheerful! The shape of the pencils is pretty awesome, too. It fits well to your hand, and doesn't have any weird places that cause rub or ache by the end of the day. Since I spend a large amount of my time writing, this was important to me! In terms of usability, these pencils are the bomb! They write very smoothly, which is a major win for me, as the feel of my writing utensil on paper is a huge part of why I usually DON'T use pencils. These totally overcome that particular problem. And for as clean as they write, they erase just as well! It's not frequent that you find pencils that come up off the paper almost entirely, but these are nice and clean, which is a nice bonus to using them. All in all, I love these pencils. Definitely won me over!

But what I have to say now is that apparently my fifth-grader loves them as much as I do. I couldn't find any of the pencils around the house, so I went searching for them. Not in my purse, not in any of my desk drawers. Then I got to his room, and guess what I found hidden away in one of his drawers? Every new Bic pencil that he could find around the house. He claims that he needs" them so he can write better at school. Maybe I can wrangle one back
