Vibrant pencils that really work

Both her and my son love the fact that they are mechanical pencils and no sharpening is needed! The 5 pack has 5 great colors as well as extra erasers and lead. The lead holds up great and doesn't break very easy. The lines are crisp but easy to erase when needed. The grips on these mechanical pencils are another added bonus. They are very comfortable to hold. I definitely have recommended the Bic Velocity pencils to others and will continue to do so. Thanks BzzAgent and Bic for letting me try these pencils free!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really picky when it comes to writing utensils. I could spend hours (yes, hours) trying to pick out pens/pencils that I like. I prefer clean, crisp lines but still fluidity when writing. These pencils BIC Velocity mechanical pencils are now my favorite. The lead is strong and doesn't break easily. They write smoothly but with crispness and no smudging. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c I prefer a mechanical pencil with the advance button on my grip rather than the top. Check these out for back to school. They're sure to last the school year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These mechanical pencils are fantastic. Every aspect of these pencils has obviously had a lot of thought put into it. The first thing you notice when looking at the package are the beautiful vibrant colors of the pencils. I did a bit of a double take initially, as the pencils, with the soft, built-in grips, strongly resemble pens. Once in hand, the Velocity pencils feel sturdy and more substantial than many mechanical pencils I have used previously. The grip makes writing more comfortable. Writing is smooth and the lead appears quite strong. I was able to complete an entire page of writing without breaking the lead at all. Even more impressive than that, my five-year-old, who presses down heavily while writing, whom I normally would NEVER let use a mechancial pencil, completed her homeowork without breaking a single piece of lead. While the pencil writes darkly, mistakes erase away cleanly. I love that the eraser is capped, ensuring continued clean erasing in the future. Replaceable erasers is pure genius. I always use up erasers long before the life of a pencil has expired. I have a feeling these pencils will last a long time, as they are so high quality. But I will definitely be buying some more to keep on hand. Thank you, BIC!
