The Fanciest Schmanciest Mechanical Pencils EVER!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really didn't expect to be able to impress my kids with mechanical pencils. They are after all boys who love to play Minecraft and with intricate LEGO sets. But they really were intrigued when I showed them the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils! And it wasn't just the bright colors or the sleek design. They were super impressed that the erasers had a lid! What?!? And how easy it was to click the lead out. Then they were even MORE impressed and blown away that the packet included extra lead refills AND erasers!! WHOA!! Talk about the fanciest, schmanciest mechanical pencils they've ever seen. And they totally made it easier for them to finish their homework. The only negative they had was they didn't like the pink or purple pencil, but that was perfect because that meant they were MINE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils a few weeks ago and immediately started using them at home, but I wanted to wait until school started to post the full review. My children love mechanical pencils for their ease of use and consistently sharp points. Each child took a package of BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils into school. Typically they go through about one pencil a week and we are constantly replacing either the lead or the pencil due to eraser issues or cracks in the pencil itself. The kids have been in school for 3 weeks now and each child is still using their first BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils. I can't believe one pencil could have lasted this long. At this rate we'll only go through one package of the pencils over the school year instead of one package a month. So far my opinion of BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils is extremely positive and it appears they really are worth the slightly higher price point. Good job BIC!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the BIC Velocity mechanical pencils I thought they looked more like pens until I started to use them that is. I love how sturdy they are and how smooth they write. Another thing that I love about them is that not only do they come with extra lead they come with extra erasers too, usually you have to buy the lead separately and once the erasers are used up you have to get new pencils.. So the fact that it comes with extra lead and erasers is absolutely great!!! I like the soft grips they have which are also easy on my fingers when I am writing. I definitely recommend these!! #BICVelocity #BzzAgent #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually stick to the packs of BIC pencils that have 24 cheap pencils in them, so I was really excited to have received these to buzz about! I was actually a little apprehensive at first, but, they have become my favorite lead based writing utensil! Anyway, personally I think these pencils are great. They write very smoothly. I haven't had an issue with putting too much pressure and having the lead snap. The erasers on these pencils are pretty nice too. They don't seem to disintegrate into tiny specks like ones on cheaper mechanical pencils. They also don't make that horrible 'noise' that the pink erasers do either, which is great. Speaking of erasers, one thing I don't understand is the caps. The erasers have caps on them. ...Why? I think they're supposed to prevent having the lead get pushed out accidentally while you have the pencils in your bag or a case or something. However, upon trying out these pencils for the first time, I immediately lost two of the caps. They're clear so they are very difficult to find if you misplace them. Be careful.

The lines and writing were perfect they are continually thin , not like a regular pencil when it wears the lines and writing get thicker.Comfortable to hold in your hand and erased like a pro .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has historically had a tough time with mechanical pencils because the leads are always snapping off and the erasers wear out long before she's ready for them to. What we both loved about this pencil was the strong lead (not prone to snapping) and the eraser cap. She also did love the grippy part of the pencil - more comfortable than the others that she has used in the past. Her only complaint was that the eraser needed to be maneuvered a certain way in order to get the clean erase of whatever she had written.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure that a mechanical pencil would make much difference to me, one way or the other. I mean, a pencil is a pencil, right? WRONG!! BIC Velocity really is better, pure and simple. The rubber grip is so comfortable, the eraser works easily and completely, and the lead is as good as lead from a wooden pencil. Love these! Is it worth paying more for this brand going forward...YES! I've bought gazillons of BIC pens over the years, and will now be buying BIC Velocity as needed for myself and my 3 students!
