[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I let two of my grandkids choose two BIC Velocity pencils each to start off their school year. Such a small thing, especially as BIC was kind enough to send them to me free; I though nothing of it. My granddaughter is in a new area, new school, and a little shy. We were talking earlier this week and she was telling me how a girl sitting next to her borrowed one of her pencils and ended up sitting with her at lunch, talking about the cool, bright colors and how 'neat' the pencil was. Apparently, she had not used a good mechanical pencil before. Of course, my grandson (just started high school) is just too cool. His biggest problem is that he has to keep the pencils at school to save them from his younger brothers...AND his mom, who finally broke down and used one of the coupons I gave her to buy a pack for herself. It's the little things. The things that I pass along and share are the things the kids remember most that make me feel like the best grandma ever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just in time for back to school! My kids were excited when they saw the BIC Velocity pencils! They come in beautiful colors! So I (with the help of my daughters) have been testing these pencils out! I have been using BIC for years and have used a lot of mechanical pencils in my day but these, I have to say are my hands down favorite! It's true, they write smoother and the lead is darker. But the fact they have a lot of lead and comes with an extra eraser for all 5 pencils in the package is awesome, especially when you have kids who can be pretty hard on them! But my favorite thing about these is the built in grip! They are so easy to hold onto! My kids will enjoy taking tests with these! Ok, maybe I am putting too much pressure on these pencils now...

Sometimes writing utensils are too skinny for him and he complains how it hurts to write- he grips too hard attempting to write decent. These, however fit his hand ok. If any smaller, probably wouldn't have worked, but glad they did! It is nice how shaped to position his hand against the flat side to encourage proper form. He brought them to open house the night before the first day of school and shared with his friends : )

I was excited to get this product to try it out because my children prefer to use mechanical pencils as opposed to regular, standard pencils. They never need to be sharpened & are sharper when using. Use one, same pencil the entire time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think BIC has an amazing product in these awesome mechanical pencils! My boys love them, & their friends are asking to try them out, too! They all report to me that they're extremely smooth to write with, they're super convenient because there's no need for a messy and loud sharpener, or an embarrassing trip to the teacher's desk during an important test. They can focus on their work, not their pencil lead. The erasers erase very cleanly as well. We are officially, after years of using regular #2's, graduating to a much better product! I'm so grateful to have participated in this campaign because any edge the kids get in school is an enormous help! I live by my agenda with work and home obligations. This pencil is now what I use to keep my life in order with my agenda. This pencil writes smooth and the eraser doesn't leave smudges on the page. I love this pencil and wouldn't use any other brand.
