I always end up buying this kind notebook in all the different colors. I like that folders on the inside are not made of paper allowing them to stretch and fall apart.

I love this notebook. I always buy 5 at a time because everyone in the office loves it and takes one. The cover is durable the paper is thick enough that you don't have to worry about writing marks in the next page but thin enough that is easy to turn and manage. The purple is my favorite will keep buying it. Don't be afraid of the Staples brand it is more reliable than you'd think since it is cheaper than other brands. It also comes with a page that is a plastic insert for pens notes rulers etc.

Exactly what did the school want

the school was not specific as to the type of journal they wanted the student to have but he needed two. All we knew was that it had to be spiral. these notebooks looked and felt very durable compared to some of the other brands. The colors were attractive for a boy. The books were fairly priced compared to the other brands as well. Since they had to be carried daily in his binder (which we also purchased at Staples) we felt these would be the best and so far we are right. Other than his abstract art work the spiral has not stretched and the covers are intact.
