Why is recycled paper so expensive?

Good quality. Does the job. Even though recycled paper products are a bit more expensive than regular paper products I like to think that I'm helping save some trees & keeping our landfills a bit less filled.

The purchase was ok but I didn't realize that a lot of the paper had a crease right down the middle of the page until I opened it.
