Disappointing

I've had other hanging file frames and have put them together with no problem. These Staples hanging file frames must be cut down to size for your cabinet. They measure from 23 to 27 inches. The directions say to "use a tool" to break off the excess rail to achieve desired length". I don't have a steel cutter so I must either buy one or figure out a way to cut off the excess. Not so easy. Knowing what I know now, I would pass on this and purchase another brand.

Instructions lacking

The assembly instructions are sparse. They don't tell you which side of the set screw that the rails go on and get clamped, and they don't tell whether the smooth side or beveled side goes to the outside. I finally got it right on the 3rd attempt. And the side rails were difficult to customize. If you don't have tools, it's not easy.

"Easily" adjustable??? I think not!

The description says "Scored at 1/2" increments for easy and precise adjustment." The word easy should not be in there. The bars are not scored. They are simply marked. I'm going to have to round up a hack saw in order to adjust them.
