Make a great first impression.

Avery's Clean Edge Business Cards, in particular its 8871 cards which are white two-side printable cards are what got me to exploring the current line of Avery products. I was asked to design a logo, layout some basic business forms and produce a small run of business cards for a start-up business. Money was tight and while the business owner was initially considering a basic two color card, one ink color printed on colored stock, I presented the owner with the option of a full color card printed on 8871 stock which featured photo-realistic graphics, a necessity given the nature of the business. She was sold the moment she saw the prototype card. Avery's 8871 cards allow me to print as few as 10 cards at a time, front and back and every one is the same as the first. This sort of technology, computer driven printing technology, permits the little guy (or gal) to make a great first impression on a budget and it affords them guilt-free flexibility to revise their card as needed. A start-up company may not initially have a website to promote, or maybe hours of operation or a phone number changes... no problem. Print small lots. When change is needed little is lost for few if any cards are thrown away before the updated version is ready. 8871 cards from Avery are an essential building block for getting the word out about your business or organization. And to think, I used to cut cards, one card at a time, with a craft knife and a metal straightedge! Progress is good, especially when it saves you time and money.

Avery's 8869 Clean Edge Business Cards happen to be a particular favorite of mine. It's what I print my cards on. I'm picky (within reason) and the predictability of 8869 cards is all the reason I need. My card is printed front and back. See accompanying picture. The front features art with a full bleed (on all four sides) while the back is a block of text that's centered and surrounded by a uniform margin of 'white space' on all four sides. Once I got the template for my cards worked out every card I've printed with it has been identical to the first, owing to Avery's consistent production standards. The clean edge technology of Avery business cards is impressive and reliable. The simple 'snap out' action used to remove cards from the sheet stock on which they are printed works 99.9% of the time which is more than I can say for the consistency of the materials and methods I previously employed to produce small lots of business cards... a metal straightedge and a craft knife. Having worked in and with print shops most of my professional life, I've produced and handled a lot of business cards. I like the finish and body of this particular product which is to say it produces cards that are in the same class as commercially printed cards.

Top Quality Cards

For several years these cards have consistently stood my tests for clean separation and versatility. The back of the card prints just as brightly and clearly as the front, and they never jam my inkjet printer. Whether printing portrait or landscape, alignment of graphics and text is easy because each package of these cards consistently lines up on-screen in my graphics program or at the Avery Design and Print On-Line site. The weight of these cards is comparable to some produced by professional print shops. With good design Avery cards easily rival professionally printed business cards. I have folded, stapled and spindled them and they always pass the test for professional grade.

Extra Benefits from Avery

My husband and I have used the Avery Business card product for years and they have only improved over that time span. An extra benefit that Avery has provided is allowing you to save your project online ! That is a great extra benefit as a backup for your project.

I have a four piece band, every time we perform we give out our card. People love our card and ask where we have them done. They are surprised that I do it myself with Avery. They also ask if its cost effective. I tell them compare prices with your local printer you will be surprised. Avery thank you for a professional looking clean edge business card. I have been a customer for many years.

As a small business owner, I have to watch costs as much as possible. Avery labels are easy to print, the free templates make customizing your business card quick and fun and I'm able to print as many or few as are needed. I can make changes quickly to customize my cards for specific applications. The precut edges make the cards easy to separate and the quality paper stock makes them look like they're prepared by a professional printer.
