I don’t usually choose dark roast, but this is my favorite dark roast I’ve ever tried and would definitely choose it over a light roast. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried from Black Rifle Coffee Company so far!

You can smell the roast the second it starts brewing, and the flavor actually wakes you up — not just the caffeine, but the taste itself. It’s rich, deep, and a little smoky, but without the bitterness that most strong coffees have. I love how it fills the kitchen with that real coffee shop aroma in seconds. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically like a lighter roast so I wasn’t expecting to love this coffee. However, with dressing it up with sweetener and milk it’s not too bad. Definitely a bold flavor, very strong aroma. I love the packaging because it’s the perfect style for a stocking stuffer. Ultimately I would buy the brand again, but I’d try some additional flavors so I wouldn’t need to use so much sweetener.
