We have bought and used several command strips each time we move our daughters to their colleges. We have also used them at our home. They are wonderful and work very well!!

When I saw the commercial for these, I was excited to try them because I have textured walls and have a hard time finding adhesive strips that will stick to them. These do what they say they do. I LOVE that you can hear that "clicking sound" that tells you that it has secured the picture to the wall. I have used it on all of my wall pictures now and really am happy that if I had to move the pictures there would be no nail holes left behind!

Horrible Experience - Don't Waste Your Time

We have now had 3 photos come off the walls (1 in the middle of the night - that was fun) due to the strips not working as advertised. The adage 'if it sounds too good to be true then it is' definitely applies here. I trusted 3M and thought they had a good reputation until this purchase; however, I will be highly skeptical moving forward. I would not recommend this Command Strip stuff to anyone - especially when hanging items that you don't want on the floor in pieces. Just a bad product - period.

I just moved into a rental home and didn't want to put holes in my walls so I thought I'd try these out. I am so impressed I will hang all of my pictures with these!! They are so simple to use and they work great!!

Fail over time

I used these to hang a group of pictures in my new home. They are basically just a 5x7 picture and glass with colored tape on the sides so the weight is 1 lb. or less. I very much liked using the Command strips, it made hanging very easy. After approx. 4 months one of the pictures fell and the glass broke. I repaired that one. Then today I found another had fallen and broken the glass. I took all the photos down (7 total) and placed a nail back-up to save any more broken glass. They're fine for keeping a photo straight on the wall but I won't be using them as a stand alone mounting again. FYI It was the adhesive that let go, not the Velcro. This is in a new home with freshly painted new dry wall.

Thank you for sharing your review on our Command(TM) Picture Hanging Strips. The large strips you used should hold hold 4 lbs per set (which should be fine for your 1lb pictures). The adhesive is designed to be permanent until removed as long as weight limits and directions are followed.
