My kids love sharing my passion

They love that mom has a replica one of her own and now they can have their own too. We are Potter a heads in this house and have so much fun creating adventures and make believe stories!

Perfect for Harry Potter fans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy product I received to test was a Harry Potter Mystery Wand. The wand my daughter received was Hermione Granger! It came with 4 pieces, two of them needed to be snapped together. It was easy to put together and assemble for her. It came with a die cast of her animal (the cat) which is my daughter's favourite animal! The wand itself is made really well. It is heavy/ solid, has intricate designs on it and can be placed on the stand when not using/ for display. This is perfect for us because we just started reading Harry Potter books. One suggestion for improvement is having a solid/ heavier stand because the wand itself is heavy and can be tipped over easily. Otherwise, this toy wand is perfect for any Harry Potter (mini) fan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of plastic is nice and detailing job is well done. Apart from that it doesnt provide any additional functionality (sound/light). My kids played for short time. It will be nice to carry with a theme-costume.

Perfect for pretend-play and costuming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive always been impressed by Spin Master's various toy collections and new releases. I expected more of the same from this Wizarding World Magical Collector Wand, but surprisingly found myself let down. This line features collector wands from major Harry Potter characters and are meant to be (I presume) decorative collectives. Theyre offered as blind boxes, meaning you wont know which characters wand youve received until you open it up to be surprised. My nieces were disappointed to have received Ginny Weasleys wand, particularly as shes not really a main character in the series. The wand itself is around 12 inches and seems to be made only of plastic. I honestly thought there would be a bit more heft to it I think I was distracted by the Die Cast Icon label on the front of the packaging. I just assumed the wand would also be die cast metal of some sort. It also comes with a display base/stand and a corresponding die cast icon thats unique to each character. In the case of Ginny, it was a mini Arnold the Pygmy Puff accessory. All this being said and my disappointment over the materials aside, my nieces did have a good time playing pretend with the wand and acting out various spells that they had picked up from the movies. I think this is a great addition for role-playing and Halloween costumes, but it falls short as a purely ornamental collectible for HP fans.

Cool collectible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty neat collectible for a Harry Potter fan! There are 12 Wizarding World Magical Collector Wands to collect and I received Fred Weasleys! The details of the magical wand are very good and the diecast owl is super cool! Theres not much else to it, it doesnt make sound or anything like that so the kids lose interest in it pretty quickly but I think theyll appreciate it more at an older age.

Great Wizarding Wand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received Luna Lovegood's wand to try, and while my kids were really hoping for Harry's wand they were happy with Luna's too! The packages come unmarked, so you don't actually know which wand is in your box until you open it. While that increases the excitement of the mystery it can also cause disappointment with young kids, as there are 9 different wands to collect. It also makes it very difficult to collect all 9 wands, if you really wanted to collect them.
The wand and the majority of the wand stand are made out of plastic, however the wand itself has a bit of heft which is nice when your casting spells, it adds to the correct 'flick'! While each of the 9 wands have a slightly different shape, they are all made out of brown plastic and appear fairly nondescript. The item that is truly unique with each wand is the little diecast magical creature that you set on the wand stand for decoration, and weight. To me, and to my children the diecast creature was a bit more special then the wand itself. That said the kids had lots of fun casting spells with the wand too.
One thing I found odd with the packaging was the targeted age group. The box says 14+ and this toy is much too young for a 14 year old. My seven year old loved it, and I think that is a better age for this toy. An older child might want to collect the wands, but since you can't select for a wand you might be missing in your collection, it is unlikely they will purchased as a true collectable.
All in all, a fun, magical toy for a child under 10. Thank you Spin Master for letting us test this for free. #gotItFree

Only fitting that my identical twins opened this blind box wizarding world magical collectors wand to reveal a surprise 12-inch Fred Weasley wand with a gold Hogwarts display base and die-cast icon accessory unique to the character. Every replica Magical Collector Wand features authentic details and a weighted base, perfect for casting spells, pretend play and storytelling with the rest of their Harry Potter toys.
