This is honestly the best pen I have ever purchased. I like that the .5mm point isn’t so fine to ink barely comes out. In fact it’s very dark and super smooth to write doesn’t bleed at all which makes this a great pen for note taking. Overall 10/10

The problem with gel pens is that sometimes they are nothing more than a thin magic marker. Paper Mate 0.5 writes very thin and almost like a ball point pen. However they can be pricy. I tried Tru Red because they are a lot less expensive. But the saying goes you get what you pay for. The writing is not that smooth. It can be erratic and blotchy sometimes. After I use up the pens I bought I will go back to Paper Mate.

I bought the 0.7mm not the 0.5mm and so will write about my experinece with the 0.7mm. This is a very nice pen.It writes easily and leaves a very clear line which as advertised does not smudge. The barreel is rather thick - thicker than most pens and pencils so those with a larger hand will be able to hold it comfortably. However it may be too big for those with smalller hands to hold easily.
