I haven’t bought pens in years since it seems there is a constant inflow of promotional giveaways. But after reading a terrifying article about check-washing crime I went to Staples to purchase gel pens. The article recommended using only gel ink for check writing to thwart check-washing. Since I’m not a criminal I won’t know how well it works but am relying on the advice!

The TRU-RED 0.7 black gel pens skipped and dragged when writing. Threw away about 3 of the pens. Conversely the 1.0 pen wrote extremely well.
