They write so smooth and never smear. The barrel of the pen is a smooth matte like finish that feels great in my hand. Aside from the fact that this pen writes smooth and feels great the fact that it has Tru Red written on a blue pen that writes blue is ironic and makes me chuckle every time I notice it.
