Although color markers have there place I prefer the jelled retractable pens. The markers help me when I want important text to stand out but depending on the texture of the paper the marker bleeds through the paper. Additionally I have stain my cloth and hands due to the bleeding. Perhaps the markers work well for other purposes but not for what I use it for. On the other hand the jelled retractable pens work for me. I don’t have to look for the top I can just mash the retractable button. No more stained cloth hands and no bleeding through my pages. All I have to do is underline the text and the colored jelled pen does a great and neat job helping the important text to stand out.
