We ended up having to staple the tops as they pulled apart as soon as we added even a moderate amount of weight to the file.

Less satisfied than usual

I don't think that "quality oriented" and "value oriented" are mutually exclusive--they are both equally important specific to the application. I had considerable frustration putting the tabs in--some of the stamped out slots were not loose enough to make way for the tab--and then the part of the folder that folds over the metal bar came loose on several of them. I ended up purchasing a roll of packaging tape and taping every one of the folders to add a measure of strength. This is all BEFORE I put anything in them!
