The bookshelf is very beautiful. It didn't come with directions. I had to look them up online and print them out. While screwing in the screws for the shelves the while paint chipped off. This product should be cheaper because it is cheaply made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the end product but it was a small feat getting it put together. The box is very heavy and took two of us to get it into the house. The instructions were helpful when trying to assemble but it took a while for us to get it done. Overall it is a beautiful looking book shelf and looks great in my office. The product is sturdy and well made. Even given the complications with assembly I would recommend this product to friends and family. It really is beautiful in white!

A little challenging to construct until we realized always put the screw things in the 'plastic/rubber' holes before putting in the silver-metal cams ....finished build is a solid really solid bookcase that can handle a ton of books of varied sizes. Using bottom shelf to hold massive reference and art books. In addition to 2 built-in shelves the 3 movable shelves are good for dealing with our collection of medium and small books. Staples has a very competitive price on this unit. Definitely recommend this product for quality good looks stability and ability to display books of varied sizes and weights. Staples delivered in one day amazing!

Some of the directions are wrong but use common sense and you’ll be fine. Great and sturdy- if you’re weak you’ll need two people to lift some of the stuff. Looks great in my office!
