This desk was very easy to put together. All necessary parts were included. This desk is sturdy and looks nice! We were able to put the desk together faster by using a cordless screwdriver if this helps. But definitely a good buy in my opinion.

It's nice enough except for one serious design flaw

I purchased this in a store rather than online. Assembly was easy enough for one person - the instructions were clear and all parts were present and labeled. The fit and finish is not very good with slight misalignments between the boards and metal frames the edges are a little worn from movement in the box and there is bad molding on the plastic caps but it looks decent once it's all together. It would be nice if the keyboard tray was a bit wider but that's typical of low-end office furniture. This would be more forgivable except for the design flaw. The serious design flaw involves the crossbar directly under and supporting the 5/8" desk boards themselves (part number 8 in the instructions). Only one supporting bar is included for each side of the desk and the tabs to attach it are only present on the front third of the desk. This provides woefully inadequate support for anything closer to the rear of the desk: a single Dell P2414H 24" (~16 lbs) monitor on its included base is enough to cause the back of the desk to bow! I do not know why the designers would go to the trouble of making a 24" deep desk (deeper than the 19-20" typically standard) then screw it up by inadequately supporting the part of the desk that would be supporting the most weight. I'm leaning heavily towards just returning this; If I do not try to return this desk I'll be trying a monitor mount that can clamp right to the metal frame or buying something from Lowes to reinforce the back - but then again if I had the tools to make that why wouldn't I just make my own desk to begin with?

This desk is excellent for it’s price. It’s true what they say “you get what you pay for” and it will suffice for my needs. The construction is good not excellent. I only expect the desk to last me a few years. The only parts I had issues are the roller bearing tracks for the keyboard both were rusty needing a new coat of paint & fresh bearing grease. Staples did provide their typical speedy and very punctual delivery service I received the product two business days ahead of schedule. Overall I like the product and am impressed by the delivery service.

We recently bought 2 and we added a new employee to our office staff so we bought another one! So all of our offices will have these desks! They don't take up alot of room but they give so much desk space for everything!!
