Because it had the name Folger's I bought it. Wished I hadn't. No taste, almost like drinking hot water.
Pros: None
Cons: Roasted Too Light, Not Enough Flavor, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just ok

To understand where I'm coming from, I prefer the bolder K-cups, such as Tully's French Roast, Van Houtte Mexican Organic, and the dark Kona blends. I was running short on K-cups and happened to be at the supermarket where I saw the Folgers K-cups and decided to try this one. I don't hate it - it's ok enough for a standby while I'm waiting for my Keurig.com order to arrive, but that's the problem. It's just ok. At first taste, I thought, "Hey, this isn't bad. In fact, for Folgers, it's surprisingly good." Then the aftertaste hit. It tasted like I was drinking old coffee that had been sitting on the burner for while. It also did not maintain its strong flavor through the aftertaste and actually tasted like I had drunk bad, weak coffee. I know it's not my machine or my water because I use other K-cups and don't have this bad aftertaste. Anyway, like I said, it's just ok - not terrible, but nothing to write home about - but for the cost, do yourself a favor and get better dark K-cups. If you're going to drink Folgers, at least get it cheaply, pre-ground in a can to use with your regular coffeemaker. The cost per K-cup is FAR from worth it!
Pros: Pleasing Aroma, Not Bitter
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Unpleasant Aftertaste
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Go-To Coffee When Funds are Tight
on September 19, 2011

We all know that supporting our Keurig habit can be expensive. Mine is no exception - I can often find myself spending major bucks on my K-Cups every month because of my coffee habit, but going back to regular brewed coffee is not an option, so I do all I can to keep it cheap - coupons, volume buying, etc. However, when funds are low, this coffee gives me a good, dark roast fix without the higher price of the others - it gets me through until I can get my normal order in!
Pros: Pleasing Roast, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, Not Bitter, Balanced Acidity, Pleasing Aroma, Smooth Taste, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love a good bold coffee?

This coffee, if you are a true coffee lover, is one of the best bold, dark roast coffees I have tasted in a while. Unless you go and have your coffee specially prepared and blended together at a coffee grind house, you cannot get a better cup of coffee. One cup, and I feel awake, and refreshed, ready to take on my day. I have had many different kinds of coffee over my lifetime, and folger's has always been a staple in my house, but this folgers, is by far, the best ive ever tasted, and the best on the shelf coffee i have ever purchased..... now if they would just make it in an 80 pack, it would be wonderful :)
Pros: Balanced Acidity, Smooth Taste, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Aroma, Not Bitter, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, Pleasing Roast

It has that old coffee taste. Kind of like that cheep office type coffee that has been kept hot for the past 5 hours. When I went to drink it, I was like wow thats bad, and then you get use to it if you really need coffee. No other way to explain it. Glad I got the sample pack.
Cons: Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity, Unpleasant Flavor, Unpleasant Aftertaste
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this coffee

I loved this coffee. Just bought a keruig so haven't tried to many different k-cups. But I'm trying. I like my coffee strong. And This one fits. I was drinking Seattles Best #4, but I wanted this brewer and I know I will have to find a k-cup that comes very close to that. I only gave it a 4 because I haven't tried very many varieties and I'm sure there are great ones out there.
Pros: Not Bitter, Smooth Taste, Pleasing Aroma, Pleasing Roast
